“Our 6-year-old son received an eye exam prior to starting school. We had no idea that he had been having difficulty seeing. He had experienced some delays in his gross motor development when he was younger, but we had never considered they might be a result of his vision.

Our optometrist found that he was not using his left eye at all, as a result of a congenital defect. She began to treat him, and through ongoing regular exams, he has shown steady improvement. He is now using both eyes and has improved coordination. He is doing very well in school as he is able to see the board in class and his school books.

Had he not been seen, we might have missed the opportunity to treat his vision problem as quickly and effectively as we have. We are forever thankful we had his vision checked when we did.”
